Made in USA

This product is also often used as an oven gasket.

This rope is the standard for fire tool production. It is made from Kevlar coated Fiberglass yarn. The Kevlar provides strength and the fiberglass improves high temperature resistance.

This rope wick is ideal for making tied or braided wicks like monkey fist poi. Smaller rope is good for smaller wicks like eating torches.

This rope should not be used under tension when exposed to fire because Kevlar looses a lot of strength at the higher temperature.

This rope has some stretch to it. It is not intended for lifting or pulling and is not load rated.

Sold by the foot (305mm) - You will receive a continuous length up to availability (typically over 100 ft lengths)

    Good Tight Knots

Posted by Ben on Sep 21st 2017

Been buying 1/2in rope wick for the last 3ish years, and it still performs well! SUPER stretchy, holds knots extremely well. Plier tight the last knot, stitch down (kevlar or steel, Stainless Steel works wonders if you can fit it in an upholstery needle!) and keep applying glue to the cut after snipping the loose wick. Only problem I have with it, is it holds fuel too well with some traditional wicks.

    the only place I order

Well I have been buying this kevlar from trick concepts for a while now. It has held up better than any of the other sources I have tried, doesn't fray out if untaped. All around it's the kevlar I buy!
