Made in USA

This product is also often used for oven gaskets. It can also be used as a protective covering for Welding and Plasma cutter leads or other high temperature applications (Up to 600 F) where high abrasion resistance is desired. This can be used as an abrasion resistant exhaust wrap on the lower temperature parts of an exhaust system, or for steam applications.

This wick is the standard for fire tool production. It is made from Kevlar coated Fiberglass yarn. The Kevlar provides strength, and the fiberglass improves high temperature resistance. This wick is available in 1/16" and 1/8" thick. Functionally, 2 layers of 1/16" works about the same as one layer of 1/8". Props tend to look nicer when made from the 1/16" wick, but the 1/8" can be nice for larger braided wicks because the labor is reduced.

    Wicked good Wick

Posted by Georgia Hollenbeck on Apr 22nd 2018

This is my go to wick, easy to handle, makes any prop I desire, great to sew. I like the thinner wick due to tighter weave, holds fuel well.
